Update 27/06/19 - Change to the scope of this issue
In recent sprints we have been working on introducing the option to include embedded attachments in generated exports with Scroll HTML Exporter, Scroll PDF Exporter and Scroll Word Exporter. Due to the complexity of adding this functionality it has taken more time than initially expected and we have encountered some challenges for the implementation for our different Exporter apps along the way.
Specifically, we have found that introducing this feature for Scroll Word Exporter has introduced some unforeseen issues with the different platforms that the app is available on (ie. Confluence Cloud & Sever). We have therefore decided to create a follow up issue that focuses on the implementation of this feature solely for Scroll Word Exporter.
You can track this feature request here: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/EXP-2782
This means that the scope of this current Jira ticket will cover Scroll PDF Exporter and Scroll HTML Exporter.
Up. We really need this requirement.
Hey hello!
Do I understand correctly that we need to look for alternative solutions?
Hi Денис Тимощук,
Thanks for your post. At the moment, this functionality does not exist in our exporter apps but as this ticket references, we are looking to implement it. I can't provide a current time-frame at the moment but keeping a track of this JIRA ticket will allow you to keep up-to-date. Hopefully, we will be able to plan this feature into one of our upcoming development sprints soon. As you can imagine, implementing such a feature for our different exporter apps is a complex task and takes some time to plan and prepare. Hope this information helps.
Cheers, Thomas (K15t)
Hi, for us it would be already perfect if each Attachment is as well exportet and corresponding links in the generated PDF to those attachments do point to the exported file (eg. in the same directory).
Another simple way would be the option that one could define during export to PDF that attachments are exported as well and that there is simply printed in the PDF a section "Attachments" with all of them listed and linked properly to the local file.
Up!
