Search only in specific versions

Description

For a better search usability, it would be practical to search for keywords only in specific versions.

Hello Eva,

I'm really sorry about that, here's the correct link: https://help.k15t.com/scroll-versions/latest/how-do-i-restrict-searches-to-a-specific-version-119837335.html

Thanks,

Tom.

Does this ticket also encompass search only occurring for the relevant variant?

We have a different workaround for this problem that is not great. But better than the default behaviour. What we do is following:

1. Publish the latest released version into the same space where we author our documentation.
2. We implemented a BoostingStrategy that simply returns 0 for all document titles starting with '.'.
3. We use the redirect snippet I previously proposed here: https://k15t.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/214080423-How-do-I-make-the-author-view-the-default-view- to get to the version selected.

The biggest (almost only) problem with this workaround is that it is slow because of the redirect/reload of the page. I'm currently trying to find a solution for that problem.
