Templates with (Excerpt) Include+ macros cannot be edited
Description
The Include+ and Excerpt Include+ macros functions exclusively on actual pages within versioned or translated spaces and cannot be used on normal Confluence page templates. When used on page templates the templates cannot be updated and an error message appears.
Steps to reproduce
Create a page template in Confluence.
Insert an Include+ or Excerpt Include+ macro.
Save the template.
Try edit the template again.
Expected result
The macros does not work, but the template can be edited.
Actual result
The template cannot be updated and the macros shows error such as:
Workaround
The workaround involves removing the problematic macro. This should restore your ability to work with the templates again.
To address this issue, you can follow these steps:
Temporarily disable Scroll Versions and/or Scroll Translations, along with their bundled app Scroll Platform in the app manager. Ensure that no one is actively working in any Scroll Versions or Scroll Translations managed spaces during this period.
Edit the template where the macro is located and remove it.
Once you've removed the macro, re-enable the apps.
