Thank you for leaving a comment. This issue will be discussed in one of the upcoming refinement sessions (in the next couple of weeks). After, we will have a clearer picture of what needs to be done to fix this and we can start working on it. I can’t give you an indication on when it will be implemented, but we are planning on working on it soon (after refining).

Any news when this will be implemented? Our Users are still constantly complaining about this… 😞
Currently, when we are syncing comments from issue A to B, we are creating new comments on B as fast as possible. In a recent case from a customer it was possible that we have created comments so fast that the 'created date' in the database only had a difference of <1 second for some of the issue. This way, Jira will not retrieve all comments when showing them in the comments tab of an issue.
Suggested Improvement
Add a waiting time before adding a new comment.
