As a site contributor, I want to use inline images in article pages, so I can illustrate my content, e.g. specify UI elements when writing instructions for my software.
Acceptance criteria:
Inline images of the new Confluence editor will show inline in Viewport articles (this excludes inline images of the legacy editor)
Clicking on the inline image will expand the image to full size (same behavior as in Confluence)
Hyperlinks applied to inline images will open the link (Exception: Inline images with hyperlinks to other Confluence page will not be supported at the moment)

I’m really happy that this was released, it was a major point I waited for before going live with our help center.

I’ll add my +1 for this. We recently moved from Scroll Versions on Server to Scroll Documents / Scroll Viewport on Cloud and we have many inline icon images that are not displaying the way the used to.

Thanks a lot for your interest! We hope to be able to release the feature in the coming weeks.

We are impatiently waiting for this implementation. We have several hundred pages with inline formatting. When can we expect the implementation?
